Inspired by the Italian film CINEMA PARADISIO, MR. CINEMA follows the life of pro-communist, Zhou played by Anthony Wong (INFERNAL AFFAIRS) in this affectionate look at 40 years of Hong Kong history. Zhou is a projectionist working at a local cinema. His love for mainland China and his beliefs becomes a main cause for alienation between Zhou and his son, Chong (pop singer, Ronald Cheng). MR. CINEMA showcases a touching and sentimental look of Hong Kong and a loving perspective of ordinary, hard working people.
